Over 40 Years in Business
Randy and Cindy Bruder are the owners of The Grainery Bakery & Deli in Brampton, Ontario. They were both born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, and never thought that they would own an award-winning bakery & deli.
Just newlywed in 1981, a friend told the couple that a Buns Master Bakery franchise was available in Brampton. They purchased the franchise in March of 1982 with a five-year plan to eventually return to Guelph. Due to good business practices, great customers and staff, they operated under the Buns Master franchise for 21 years then changed to The Grainery Bakery & Deli in 2003 when the franchise expired
Since then, the shop and their family have grown!
The Bruder's two daughters are both still involved in the business. They added a deli in 2002 to serve ready-made sandwiches and hot soup. It has a large deli counter featuring more than 40 meat varieties and an impressive product line.
The family-run business has soup and custom made sandwiches, sausage rolls, fresh salads, cheeses and of course a wide selection of whole grain breads and buns. Many of our products are egg free and vegan. There is also a variety of desserts for the sweet tooth. The Grainery also has commercial catering clients.
The 5 million customers The Grainery has served over the last 43 years have shown their appreciation, selecting us as the winner of several Best Bakery and Best Delicatessen Readers' Choice Awards over the years.
